  Theoretically, from a fashion stand point, yes.  But this look is problematic because the jean shorts (cut offs) are far too casual for the classic black pumps you have paired them with.  It's not a good look, imo.

  Either raise the quality of the shorts or lower the elegance level of the heels by opting for something less dressy.  The pairings aren't congruent.

  @michael Holtby I agree, Michael.  Heels with shorts is usually a bit much.  Often, the look is  tawdry.
