I am a male who is also a fan of Oroblu. I usually wear Juzo Soft Pantyhose 20-30 mmHg, which is a medical compression pantyhose. I also sometimes like wear Oroblu over top as a second layer. Pants glide better over consumer pantyhose than courser medical pantyhose. There is also a unique feeling of having a second layer.
I am planning on buying more pantyhose soon. Can you please comment on the following options:
- Intense 50: https://www.shapings.com/products/intense-50-tights
- Overlook 70 https://www.shapings.com/products/overlook-70-tights
- Different 80: https://www.shapings.com/products/different-80-tights
- Chantal 120: https://www.shapings.com/products/chantal-120-tights
I understand the higher numbers imply greater opaqueness because of the higher denier value.
Do some fit better than others? Are some more comfortable then others? Is there anything that would cause you to favor some more than the others?
@River I'm not sure about the fit or comfort as I've never worn any of those before. Just going by what Shapings is showing I'd go with either the Different 80's or the Chantal 120's. I just like how they look in the pictures and I think it's closer to the support den of pantyhose you currently wear. Just my 2 cents!
@PJ Thank you. I am likley to order a couple or few pairs of each offering. You are correct in that they higher denier will be a closer match of the medical hosiery. In reality, that does not matter too much because the Oroblu will be a second layer. It need not match. One benefit, however, of a higher denier is that it will hide or mask my medical hosiery underneath. A detriment, however, is that in the summer, two pairs of high denier pantyhose may be warmer than I want. I may need to look at some 20 denier pantyhose when the weather turns warmer.
Since I haven't worn any of those before, I can't speak to their comfort or fit. Based just on what Shapings is displaying, I would choose the Chantal 120s or the Different 80s.

Hey River, I can attest to medical compression hosiery, those higher den medical styles also come in sheer varieties as well. But if I was going your route, I would go with Oroblu repos 70 or Solidea Venere 70. Hope this helps.
River. I'm a solid Oroblu wearer. In fact I have on Oroblu Different 20's as I type this. Cannot recommend a better pantyhose. Also a Magie and Sensuel collector as well.
@James Russell
My post may have been confusing. I wear these tights over top of my compression hosiery for better glide between my pants and my hosiery.
Repos is a "light" or non-medical version of compression. I am not wanting to "stack" compression hosiery, one on top of the other. Instead, I am looking for something that glides better.
Thank you for commenting.
@first ritual
I wore my Chantal 120 pantyhose a few times. They are warm, which is a good thing in the winter. I did not appreciate how much warmth they provide.
Now that summer is on its way, I will be looking for something much lighter in the 20 denier area. Because you are a Oroblu afficiando, what is your favorite? I see that you mentioned:
- Different 20
- Magie 20
- Sensuel 20
- Devine 20 (not mentioned)
Which fits the best? Has the best wear? Best glide? Overall, which is your go-to pantyhose?
I note that the Devine pantyhose are more expensive. If you've tried them, any thoughts?
I'm a huge fan of Oroblu products but don't wear compression hosiery. (yet)
Among my go-tos in Oroblu are:
Sensuel 20
Vanite 15
Riga Lux
Lycia 15 stockings
Elegant 15
and Club 20 in pantyhose.
Obviously, my needs and purposes are different but I can attest to the quality of this brand.
