Bra Fitting Clinic (cont.)

The average weight of a D-cup breast is 8 pounds.  The farther your breasts are away from your body (as the breasts get larger), the more leverage force and strain is created on the back.  The effect is shown here:

You have lived with your breasts most of your life so you are accustomed to their weight.  The best way to demonstrate the pressure on the back is to pick up a stack of books and hold them out from your chest. This will exaggerate the strain that breasts have on your back.  The larger the breasts, the greater the pressure.

By following all of these points you will find that the right fitting bra will be comfortable and supportive all day long.  Most importantly, you will not develop back, neck and shoulder problems.  A lot of these problems can be fixed by a properly fitted bra.
